TO-NIGHT'S Limerick Charity Cup quarter-final in Dooradoyle certainly served up a game of high quality and drama.
Trailing 24-15 with ten minutes remaining. Garryowen looked dead and buried but they dug deep and showing their traditional grit, they scored a converted try from replacement hooker Robert Myers, converted by Conor Murray to leave just two points between the sides.
The light blues won possession, then lost it outside the UL Bohemian 22 but referee Roche spotted an infringement and with the last kick of the game Conor Murray sent the ball sailing between the posts from almost the touchline to give the home side a dramatic win.
Bohs led 14-0 early on thanks to tries from Ian Condell and Aidan McNulty, both converted by McNulty before Garryowen got their names on the board with a Murray penalty on 20 minutes.
Robert Myers then forced his way over for a Garryowen try which Murray converted to make it 14-10 but after a fluent move, Bohs edged 21-10 in front thanks to a Kieran Essex try with McNulty adding the extra points.
Cian O'Shea reduced the leeway with a second Garryowen try while Stuart O'Flanagan landed a terrific penalty for Bohs but the game will be best remembered for its dramatic finale under the glow of the home ground's impressive floodlights.
