This was the final event of the first ever Richard Harris Tribute Week organised by Charlie St George Bar, Parnell Street, Limerick.
A keenly contested match, the final score was 17-0 to Garryowen.
Garryowen captain Mark Rowley, made some strong surging runs.
Young Munsters Dickie Brown was outstanding and always looked threatening in the back line.
David and Eoin Rowley, first cousins, clashed as opposing hookers in the front rows.
A match with an edge to it where the score may not have done justice to Young Munsters performance. Clearly, future senior stars were to be seen in this under 21s match on Saturday.
Both teams were a credit to their respective coaches and managers. In Young Munsters, Ken Imbusch, Sean Carroll, Paul Mooney and Kevin King. In Garryowen, John Staunton, Joe Brooks and Conor Kilroy.
Murrough O Byrne of Charlie St Georges Bar paid tribute to the graciousness of both clubs in competing for this cup and thanked in particular, Liam Glynn and Nay Cantillon for organising it.
